Portable easy to use camcorder

For those who have heard about this little camcorder already know how great it is. For the rest of us let me tell you some of the benefits of this little piece of technology.

Flip video is very easy to use. It runs off 2AA batteries (standard and HD versions) and can be fitted with a rechargeable battery for around $30. The ease of use is thanks to the limited buttons on the actual device 4 buttons and directional pad that’s it. Also it comes with a built in USB to plug it into computers but I’ll touch on that later. You can also plug it into a TV right out of the box with the included cables to watch your newly recorded videos.

With the Standard version you can record an hour and twenty minutes worth of video. To start recording you just hit the power button then push the big red button on the back. After that you have a zoom in and out. To stop just push the red button again and the video is now saved. You can watch the video on the camera, plug it into a TV or use your computer.

Now for the interesting part the USB connection. On the camera itself is the flip out USB port (where they got the name flip video from) you plug into any computer. From there you can opt to install the free video editing software (built into the camera so you can install it on any computer you plug it into) onto the computer. Then you can edit and upload it to your favorite video site on the Internet.

Probably my favorite part about this camera is the price point. Starting at $169.99 for the standard definition giving you 120 minutes of recording time. Quality is still very good so don’t think that because it’s the standard definition and the low price makes it seem less then stunning.
